How to create an Ethereum Wallet?

Creating an Ethereum wallet is easy and fast! We will teach you in this guide how to create your wallet in just 9 steps

Introduction

Now that you understand NFTs, Blockchain, and the NFT Market, it’s time to put your knowledge into practice! To trade NFTs and Ethereum, you first need a wallet. Wallets are software or hardware that stores tokens, including your NFTs and cryptocurrencies. Many wallets are available, but we recommend using MetaMask for this example. MetaTask is a free and secure Ethereum wallet that can be attached to your browser or smartphone. We chose this wallet because it’s user-friendly and easy to use. Still, you can choose any wallet that sends and receives Ethereum tokens and NFTs.

How to create an Ethereum Wallet

1 – If you don’t have it, install the Firefox browser.

2 – To create your wallet, access MetaTask and download the extension for your Firefox or Android/iOS.

3 – Install the extension, the MetaTask icon will appear next to the address bar, click on it to create your account

4 – Click the ‘Get Started’ button to begin creating your Ethereum wallet using MetaMask

5 – Click the ‘Create a Wallet’ button

6 – You’ll then be asked if you want to help improve MetaMask. Click ‘No Thanks’ if this doesn’t interest you, otherwise click ‘I agree’.

7 – Create and confirm your password

8 – 12 words will be shown to you, write it down on a paper that you will not lose. If you forget your password you will need these 12 words to recover it. If you lose these words and forget your password it is impossible to redeem a wallet and all tokens in it will be lost!

9 – MetaTask will ask you to confirm that you saved the 12 words.

10 – Done! Your Ethereum wallet is already created and you are able to receive and send ETH tokens such as cryptocurrencies or NFTs!

Conclusion

Congratulations on creating your MetaTask wallet with just a few clicks! You can now trade NFTs and Ethereum tokens. It’s essential to be cautious and keep your 12 saved words in a secure location. Please don’t share them with anyone. Consider writing them on paper instead of taking a print screen or a photo. These words will be needed to recover your wallet if you forget your password or switch laptops.

Once you have your wallet, you’re ready to create an exchange account!
